Opening Exhibition of Toyasium 2010 – Ceramics of the World

Some 2,300 pieces of ceramic arts from all over the world have been obtained for the collection of KOCEF through the international competitions and five biennales.

The KOCEF Collection presents works selected from its collection, after categorizing all the works of the world by continent. Treasures of the KOCEF include ceramics of America and Oceania, Africa, Asia, and Europe, the leaders of world ceramics.

At the special corner in the exhibition hall are ‘Tea Bowls by Cheon Han-bong’ and ‘World Aboriginal Potteries,’ where the viewers can enjoy the exotic and joyful world of ceramics. In Gallery 4 of Toyasium is ‘Teapots of the World,’ allowing the viewer to see the features of ceramics of different countries of the world through one single item: the teapot.
